How my landlord has tried to murder my entire building. TWICE!
New Feature Documentary from Fourman Films.
Fourman Films prides itself on challenging power wherever it can with little or no funding.
One of my proudest achievements was our feature documentary Viva Palestina which we had no idea until we woke up that we would be producing a documentary that day.
Yesterday it yet again unexpectedly become clear that the gloves needed to come off again.
I present to you our latest film
How my landlord has tried to murder my entire building. TWICE!
A visceral account (by me) of a communities attempts to survive their fire safety bereft landlords living in an unsafe cladded building.
Whilst the title remains tongue in cheek the subject matter of what Sanctuary Housing is doing whilst remedying out buildings fire safety issues and how they have gone about these works which has lead to placing residents in more and certainly unacceptable danger.
Social murder describes early, preventable deaths caused by unfair social, political, or economic systems. Friedrich Engels made up this term in 1845. Friedrich Engels wrote about this idea in his 1845 book, The Condition of the Working Class in England.
He said that when society forces people to live in bad and unsafe places where they die early, it is like murder. He argued that those in power know about the harm and do nothing to fix it.
People use this word today to talk about political choices like government cuts to public services. Recent books, such as Social Murder? Austerity and Life Expectancy in the UK, use it to explain how poor health and falling life span connect to government rules. It is also used during public health crises or tragedies where safety rules were ignored.
Covid, Grenfell Hillsborough were all preventable tragedies that people foretold and predicted. Yet profit before people orchestrated the rule of the day. It's clear here that not all is ok and the number of mistakes which all lead to potential tragedy one must consider is it as Engels describes Murder?

Despite reassuring the London Fire Brigade Fire Safety Investigation that Combustables were no longer being stored in Riser and Electrical cupboards Sanctuary Housing and Weston Homes are still doing so.
London Fire Brigade called me at work to tell me they have been assured all matters have been put right and that when it comes to what Sanctuary and Weston Homes tells them they have to take this on face value.
Upon arrival home it became clear that what they told London Fire Brigade Investigation Team was not true. All Combustables had not been removed from the riser and electrical cupboards, the fire alarm had faults across seven zones as residents are still waiting to have their alarms fixed and door are still unsafe.
Metropolitan Police were notified in my email that Sanctuary and Weston Homes have mislead a London Forest Brigade Fire Safety investigation which is a serious Crime.

101 -The Importance of legally required Fire Risk Assesments In avoiding Fire Danger.
Thursday 16th July 2026.
The Fire Sprinkler and Riser systems were switched back on. Having complained that I suspected these vital life saving systems have been turned off we had the first flooding in the building for six months. It's clear they had just switched the systems off and now they fear a fire safety inspection they have switched them back on.
I explore the leak and discuss how the absence of the legally required risk assesment update has allowed the dangerous failures in safety.
I also today questioned authorities that is so many basic mistakes can be made all at once and as each of those mistakes is leading to a potential catastrophic fire then at what point does a criminal investigation need to be made into the possibility that an insurance job was about to occur and they were in fact prepping for arson.
